Bio for Laurie Dringus Laurie P. Dringus is a Professor in the Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences at Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She earned her Ph.D. in Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University in 1991. Laurie teaches graduate courses in human-computer interaction and decision support systems. Several of her courses are accessible via the Internet. Her research interests focus on design and evaluation of human-computer interfaces, usability engineering and evaluation, computer-mediated communications technology and user performance, group decision support systems, and collaborative learning in distance education environments. She is a member of ACM, ACM SIGCHI, IEEE Computer Society, and HFES.
