Course Schedule

Research areas: Virtual teams, computer-supported collaborative work, organizational knowledge management, technology-mediated collaborations in healthcare.

Dr. Paul received his Ph.D. in Management Information System from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Jadavpur University, India. He also underwent a post-graduate study in General Management at Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. His research publications include articles in Journal of Management Information Systems, Decision Support Systems, Information & Management, Information Resources Management Journal, as well as in the refereed proceedings of various national and international conferences. His current research interests are in the areas of collaboration systems and applications, virtual teams, cognitive perspectives on collaboration, organizational knowledge management systems, and information technology applications in healthcare.

School Overview


Since the introduction of the graduate computer science program in 1975, the school has been a pioneer in computing research and education. The school began offering online programs in 1983 and created the first electronic classroom in 1985.

In 1989, the Computer-Based Learning Center and Center for Computer Science were combined to form the Center for Computer and Information Sciences, which is now known as the Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences (GSCIS). Over its 25-year history, GSCIS has grown a distinguished faculty and graduated over 4,000 alumni who have made substantial contributions to research and industry.
